Struck by The Perth Mint from 1oz of 99.99% pure silver in proof quality, each rectangular coin is issued as legal tender under the authority of the Government of the Tuvalu.

The reverse of each coin celebrates the Year of the Pig with four different coloured designs showcasing the pigs of different families. The Chinese character for ‘pig’ and The Perth Mint’s traditional ‘P’ mintmark are also included in the design.
The obverse of each coin depicts the Ian Rank-Broadley effigy of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II, the 2019 year-date and the monetary denomination.
